Employer Alert -- Misclassification of W-2 employees as 1099 contractors can lead to majorliability!
Government agencies, workers, and their attorneys are very focused right now on worker misclassification issues (i.e. treating workers as 1099 contractors vs. W-2 employees). There are some big potential liabilities here so every employer should be paying attention to this issue, especially now.
